The TDP Stage 1.5 68RFE is built for drivers who want noticeably more strength and responsiveness than stock, without stepping into an overly aggressive tow-specific or race-only setup. This unit is ideal for daily-driven trucks running tuning —perfect for weekend fun, spirited driving, and occasional towing.

This transmission focuses on improved clutch capacity, hydraulic stability, and converter performance while maintaining smooth drivability and long service life.

Tuning & Calibration Requirements

• TCM calibration must be data-logged and approved by Thompson Diesel Performance after installation

• If tuning parameter guidance is required, please reach out to us prior to or during tuning

• Failure to submit data logs for approval may result in denied warranty coverage

Tire Size & Gear Ratio Requirement

• Tire size must correctly match the axle gear ratio per the approved gear ratio chart

• Incorrect tire size combined with an improper gear ratio will result in immediate warranty void

• Proper tire-to-gear matching is critical for shift timing, clutch load, and transmission longevity
